The wonderful thing about meeting your significant at a local art meet up, and having your first dates consist of an arts + craft fair and later a networking event at the local museum...is that you know you'll always have someone wanting to accompany your little artsy soul on adventures!
When we had only been seeing each other a few weeks, I decided to fly down to Southern California to meet up with Matthew and his visiting family. Crazy, right? But, I knew this guy was in it for the long haul and so, we created our first little tradition: New City, New Museum. After a day at Disney, we stopped at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and The Getty Museum to check out some amazing work!

I was in awe standing in front of towering pieces, in front of a Matisse, a Van Gogh, a Cezanne, a Rivera. Words just can't describe it.

Not only was the art amazing at both LACMA + The Getty, but the views were phenomenal! We had a warm, beautiful, CLEAR day for Los Angeles and that made it all the better.
